Multi Keyless Drill Chucks are drill chucks tightened by hands which are used on the electric power drivers and the rechargeable drills. Generally, they are called “Keyless Chucks” or “Keyless Drill Chucks”. Yukiwa Seiko has continued the technology studies for 60 years from the start of production in 1951 and has manufactured the drill chucks under the severe quality control. Now the quality is recognized worldwide, and, our keyless drill chucks are adopted at the major electric power tool manufacturers in the world.
Features and Specifications
There are many kinds of Multi Keyless Drill Chucks in our lineup to be suitable for the smaller drills of home use, and also for the rechargeable high power drills of professional use and the AC hammer drills. Although they are keyless drill chucks that the chuck keys are not used for tightening, their gripping torque for cutting tool is strong enough. And the keyless drill chucks with locking mechanism are also available and they can stand using on the drills/drivers for professional use or the impact drills/drivers of strong gripping power. These Locking-Types can be used in normal rotation and reverse rotation, and are the anti-vibration keyless drill chucks. Only by locking action on the sleeve, chucking of the drill bit for hammer drill can be done easily and safely. Also we have the keyless drill chucks with Carbide-tip on the three jaws and their gripping torque is stronger and their wear resistances are superior enough. Their durability is several times larger than that of conventional keyless drill chucks.
Body Size |
There are two body sizes, 10mm and 13mm, in our Multi Keyless Drill Chucks. The gripping capacity for tool of 10mm size keyless drill chuck is from the minimum diameter (or 0.8mm) to 10mm. And the gripping capacity of 13mm size keyless drill chuck is up to 13mm.

The T. I. R (Total Indicator Runout), the test-bar diameter, measuring position and measuring frequency must be decided by the requests of the electric tool manufacturers, air tool manufacturers and tool manufacturers. |
Gripping Torque |
Multi Keyless Drill chuck comes in different gripping torque depending on the body size, shape of jaws and the locking/no-locking types. This must be also decided by requests of the electric tool manufacturers, air tool manufacturers and tool manufacturers. |
Outer Sleeve |
There are two kinds of outer sleeve in the material, plastic sleeve and metal sleeve. The plastic sleeve is used to lighten the weight. The metal sleeve appears to be thick, heavy and high-grade. And also there are the single sleeve keyless drill chucks and two-separate-sleeve keyless drill chucks. The single sleeve keyless drill chucks are used on the drills/drivers having spindle locking mechanism. |
Jaws |
The proper heat-treatment is done on three jaws of the Multi Keyless Drill Chuck. By the shapes of the jaws, the stable run-out accuracy and the strong gripping torque are achieved. The keyless drill chucks with carbide-tip jaws are also available. They have three times stronger gripping torque than those of our conventional drill chucks. |
Mounting Thread |
There are two kinds of mounting thread, 1/2-20UNF and 3/8-24UNF. On the hammer drills or 18V/24V rechargeable drills, generally, 1/2-20UNF is used because the high power is required, and 3/8-24UNF is used on the air tools. |
Locking Mechanism |
Multi Keyless Drill Chucks with Locking mechanism can easily do chucking operations on the hammer drills or the impact drills/drivers. Our unique locking mechanism has been patented. After the opening-closing endurance test in several thousand times, the initial gripping torque has been maintained. |
