Super Keyless Dream Chucks

Super Keyless Dream Chucks, SLC13, are the keyless drill chucks having the lock-mechanism. They can be used as a substitution for the tap chucks. They are the hand-tightened Keyless Drill Chucks that the Chuck Key is not required, and if the diameter of the cutting tool is changed, the accuracy is stable. The lock-mechanism is functioned by the engaging the inner parts and the chuck do not loosen at emergency stop in high RPM. In the test by us, the chuck does not loosen at emergency stop (about 0.6 sec.) from 10,000min-1 of spindle rotation. LOCK and FREE can be done by one touch operation.

Super Keyless Dream Chucks, SLC13, have a compact size and an efficient short mounting design that is the same to the conventional Keyless Drill Chucks in dimension. They are most suitable chucking tools for the drilling and tapping operations and are available for M16 tapping at the maximum.

Using the test bar of φ13 (max. gripping capacity) and φ6.5 (half capacity), the run-out accuracy is measured. The run-out accuracy is less than 0.05mm and stable. Allowable maximum gripping torque is strong enough of 800N･cm.

LOCK and FREE can be done by the one touch operation after re-tightening the chuck on the spindle using the attached Hook Spanner as below:

After tighten the cutting tool by hands, the sleeve of the chuck can be re-tightened by an attached Hook Spanner to firm the cutting tool more. In case of using the machine without spindle lock mechanism, prepare two hook spanners and, hook the one on the groove of the grip-ring. Then, hook another one on the groove of the sleeve and tighten the chuck like this figure.

Super Keyless Dream Chucks have the runout accuracy of less than 50μm (0.05mm). The accuracy is kept for a long time.
